‘Tis the season. Yes, love it or hate it, it is undeniably THE season.
To those of you who are joyfully creating a Christmas display that will be clearly visible from the International Space Station;
To those who are preparing to light the menorah for Hanukkah;
To those who celebrate other special holidays this time of year and those who choose not to celebrate at all;
And to everyone else who takes the time to visit me here at The Big Sheep Blog;
I bring you the following gift of the season, courtesy of singer/songwriter Dana Parish and composer/pianist Andrew Hollander. (Used by permission.)
Some with the words, some with the tunes…jeez you have a talented family, Lisa! Thanks for the lovely song.
Thank you, Peg
Gearing up for Christmas at your house??
Yup. We have a 6-month-old puppy, so I skipped the 9 foot tree this year, bought a 4-footer from Goodwill and set it up on a table. So far so good – whoop whoop!
A puppy! Cute – post some photos for us : )
Lovely! Thank you for sharing it.
You’re welcome! Happy Holidays
To those of you hiding your head in the sand until January …
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Lisa. This is probably my favorite Christmas song — I have a post about it in the works. What a beautiful version — a real holiday treat.
Yes, there are plenty of those…
Glad you enjoyed the song!
This is one of my favorite Christmas songs. It has just the right amount of sentimentality for me. And it fills me with longing.
So glad to share it and whatever it is you’re longing for, I hope it happens!
Is this your SIL? Wow–there’s some singing going on in your family.
Yes and that’s my brother on the piano. (I leave all the music to them since I’m musically challenged and illiterate.)
I like this woman’s voice – nice!
Beautiful, isn’t it? Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful. You have a very talented family.
Thank you so much!
Aw, thanks for posting this, sis. More than anything, thank you for sharing YOUR fabulously incisive, witty, wise voice with all of us.
Always happy to vicariously ride the coattails of your talents
